One of the key features of Carbon Literacy is that training is delivered by peers of whoever is receiving the training. In other words, “whoever I am, Carbon Literacy is delivered by ‘people like me’. It is delivered pupil to pupil or by regular teachers in schools and colleges, by workmates, colleagues or peers in the workplace, or by friends and neighbours in the place that I live”.

Sometimes however, this is not entirely possible on its own, and you and your organisation may need support or need external assistance to do this. There is therefore an expanding group of voluntary and professional Carbon Literacy trainers drawn from each audience (and therefore peers of those in that audience) who can assist you in development and customisation of your Carbon Literacy training, or help you deliver it. We encourage you to contact these trainers and organisations directly, and welcome you to get in touch with the Project if you would like further information on each.

Note: The Carbon Literacy Project does not provide any Carbon Literacy training in its own right. The trainers listed on this page work independently of the Carbon Literacy Project and/or Cooler Projects CIC. Neither The Carbon Literacy Project or Cooler Projects CIC receive any financial benefit from any relationship with any trainer or training organisation, other than the fixed certification fees which apply to all certifications.

Please also note: Carbon Literacy training that is delivered without approval by The Carbon Literacy Project cannot be described or accredited as Carbon Literacy. If in doubt, get in touch!

Training Organisations

Certified CL Training Organisations (CCLO)

In 2014 we introduced a Carbon Literacy Training Organisation (CLTO) certification for organisations employing Carbon Literate staff and Certified Carbon Literate Trainers. If you or your organisation is interested in this, the first steps are to increase the proportion of your staff who are CL certified and ensure your trainers become CCLTs (see above) in advance of the introduction of the organisational certification, but feel free to drop us a line if you would like to know more at this early stage.
